Changing our Clients Lives

Wiltshire accountants Clear Vision give goats to African families while they work

Wiltshire accountancy firm Clear Vision is helping families in developing countries by donating goats in 2012 - and they are doing it from the comfort of their office.

Clear Vision Accountancy’s Managing Director Rob Walsh, said he was inspired after hearing about the Buy1GIVE1 scheme.

Also known as B1G1, the transaction-based model allows businesses to choose from a directory of gifts that make a real difference in developing countries.

Mr. Walsh said the scheme made helping others easy and his team opted to provide goats to families in Kenya.

"This project resonates with us because it provides the Kenyan family with, at a fundamental level,  the same type of benefits we work to provide to our clients  - an increased income and enhanced life.  The goat gives income and food to the family for a whole year. It provides milk and creates income from dairy products. It’s easy to care for and can also be bred or sold."

He continues:

"The concept of Buy1Give1 is so simple.  Every time we finish a project for a client, complete a set of accounts or a tax return for instance, we donate the cost of a goat for a family. 100% of this donation is then passed on via the World Youth International Charity. Our clients receive a written confirmation and visit www.b1g1.com to see how their contribution makes a difference."

"Discovering B1G1 has transformed our ability to give and the way we involve our clients. Our aim is to imbed the giving so it becomes an effortless habit. We believe that despite the tough economic conditions we are experiencing, it is important to look for ways to make a difference to those who continue to struggle for more basic needs.  Giving through B1G1 not only makes this possible for us, it makes it simple too."

Buy1Give 1 is a global initiative founded in 2007 in Australia and helps businesses connect their products and services to more than 600 charities and good causes throughout the world.
